Visualise and measure surface movement

We deliver the results of our analysis performed over Sydney Metro through personalised assessment reports to property owners wishing to assess the impact of infrastructure and construction projects on their property.

The analysis was performed using an archive of satellites images going back to January 2016 providing property owners with the ability to go back in time and identify when and to what extent their property might have been impacted.

The analysis covers an area of about 650 square kilometres (coverage map shown on the right).

REPORT

Baseline reports

The baseline report provides an in depth look at the surface movement since January 2016 and a look at the technology used to generate the analysis.

Here’s a quick look at what is in our reports:

Property Analysis

Visualise if and when your property was impacted by ground movement with more than 100 measurements taken at 11-day intervals over a 3-year period.  With multiple measurements on each property, assess whether your property is subject to differential movement (one end of the property moving at a different rate than the other).

Neighbourhood Assessment

The report provides an analysis of surface movement trends in areas located in close proximity as a way to potentially predict future surface movement that might impact the property.

Project updates

Quick access to relevant construction updates (highlight and link to online documentation from the project proponents) to help determine whether tunnelling or excavation activities might be linked in time with the surface movement measurements.

Technology

Detailed information on the technology used to generate the analysis.

REPORT

Future updates

Otus plans to update its analysis up to 4 times / year to help property owners who might be impacted by future projects. The update report will provide a quick revisit of the results found in the baseline report to identify if recent tunnelling or excavation work has impacted the property.

Proven technology

The technology used for this analysis has been used on multiple infrastructure projects in Asia, Europe and North America.

Going back in time

By leveraging deep satellite imagery archives, we provide a look back in time to identify if and when your property might have been impacted.

Dense survey network

The analysis provides more than 27,900 measured points per square kilometers, delivering a powerful tool to visualise surface movement.

Timeline of movement

Each points has been measured every 11 days since 2016, providing more than100 individual measurements to identify when surface movement first occurred.

Zone of influence

Assess whether surface movement occurred beyond the zone of influence used by the infrastructure project proponents to establish liability for damages.

Detect subtle movement

The processing technique used for the analysis can detect millimeters of movement over areas of several hundreds of square kilometres.

If you live near any major infrastructure projects, attributing any sudden property damage to the construction is almost impossible – until now. With the Westconnex tunnel likely to go under my property, I now have a 3-year history of the natural movements of my property. The future updates will be able to assess if and when my property has been impacted, and the measurement are irrefutable. Thank you Otus for offering this invaluable information to worried homeowners.

Thank you Otus Intel !!. We now have the evidence that the nearby WestConnex construction has caused our home to start tilting (differential settlement). The ground movement measurements supplied in our report are amazing and certainly debunks the standard RMS claim that the sudden onset of cracking to homes is due to "seasonal variations"
